Mouth Sealed Shut

What we use to have before work and boys came in the way. Back when I worked overnights and we went to the beach every Monday and Tuesday no matter what. We complained about boys ate junk food and watched movies. It was a good friendship. Now we barely talk. I’m lucky if I get to see you these days and you use the “sorry I’ve been busy with work” excuse which is an excuse for when you don’t wanna see someone. & we both know you keep your days open for your man to see if he wants to do something with you cause he come before ANYONE else.

People change all the time. Its human nature. I just never thought you change so much that I’d be to this point. Thought we’d be the best of friends no matter what. Looks like I was naive to think that.

Honestly I just expected more from you since your man came into your life. But I guess that’s just wishful thinking.

Its safe to say that our old friendship died and we have to create a new one but what is a friendship when one person tries and the other one doesn’t?
